Johanna Holmberg Selected for European Youth Olympic Festival – Competes with MODD Ski Poles
Falun, SWEDEN – Rising Swedish cross-country skiing talent Johanna Holmberg has been officially selected to represent Sweden at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Bakuriani, Georgia. As part of a six-member Swedish cross-country skiing team, Holmberg will compete against Europe’s top young athletes from February 9–16, 2025.
Holmberg has demonstrated outstanding performance on the national stage, earning her place in the prestigious youth Olympic event. She will compete in both classic and freestyle distance races, as well as a freestyle sprint and a mixed relay.
A key factor in Holmberg’s success has been her choice of equipment, particularly her use of MODD ski poles. Known for their innovative design and lightweight construction, MODD ski poles provide exceptional balance and power transfer—critical elements for elite-level performance in cross-country skiing.
MODD, a leader in ski pole technology, continues to support young athletes like Holmberg in their pursuit of excellence. “We are incredibly proud to see Johanna using our ski poles at such an important event,” said a representative from MODD. “Her dedication and talent align perfectly with our mission of empowering skiers with the best possible equipment.”
As Sweden’s young athletes prepare to take on the best in Europe, Holmberg’s journey to the EYOF is a testament to her hard work, determination, and the advantages of cutting-edge ski technology.
