Our new patented grip design, the AirGrip, is not only extremely light but also allows the ski pole to extend by up to 60mm. This is possible due to the innovative AirGrip lever, which uses a hinge to move the hand position relative to the ski pole during the final phase of the push.

Initial laboratory tests at Dalarna University indicate that the AirGrip significantly enhances performance and endurance by reducing lactate levels by 0.7 mmol (during double poling at racing speeds) compared to traditional grips. Even with high-frequency skiing, the AirGrip adds extra millimeters per push, boosting average racing speed by more than 1%!

The AirGrip can be used as a traditional grip by fixing the lever in the base position or with the AirGrip lever activated to unleash its full potential. However, in both cases, the AirGrip is much lighter than a traditional cork grip. You can even choose to start a competition with a fixed lever and, whenever suitable, simply release the lever to take full advantage of the AirGrip.

The MODD AirGrip also features a patented release mechanism that allows the skier to switch between poles in seconds.
